This document give all about the philosophy, organizers, artists ... and events at the french building ! Even some inforamtions on the accidents and problems that occured when setting it up and running it while France was beguining the war !
This document was printed in 1946 at a New York stationnary ... and may bne copyrighted even if there's none of the reguilar mention about this point ... I take on myself to publish a scanned copy oif it as I presume it was the intend of the writter to show the french evolution and the way they did act to preserve the treasures staying in NY while the Europe was in a great conflict !
Sorry, but documents are just scanned .. and you may have to wait for it to display .. but you will navigate thru the nearly fifty pages with arrows ... to go to next of last page .. All the images are in JPEG format and I presume you may copy it for internal use .... (or check with the writter or editors if you need more ... profesional use !)
I do have a lot more in my grand father's archives .... as he was an "ébéniste" as from the 1900's ! I will try to publish here the oldies like some images on old furnitures and places (all in his study books to learn his job ! so very old ones sometime and not all as photographs but some engraved !)... but it's time consuming to search - scan .. and add all in an easy way for you to see ... those vanishing perfumes of the past "artisans" ...
If you have a specific request .. feel free to post it for me toi search if I do have something on it (I also have some pre-WWII catalogs of auctions sales ...)
